You just got an asset. Here is what it is worth.

What I did with mine, and what I would do if I were you.

Ten years, and why they let me up here

I have collected a lot of these.

That is the whole reason I am standing here, and it is not the point of the next twenty five minutes.

Collecting them is not the same as using them.

I learned that the expensive way, more than once.

There is nothing to buy here.

No offer, no link, no follow up. You already bought the thing this talk is about, and you already have the playbook and this room to run it with. I am one more angle on it: a member who has been through it telling you what he would do again.

The week after mine aired

Mine aired. I posted it once. Then I moved on.

What I got wrong

It felt like a finish line. It was a starting line.

Nothing was missing. They filmed it, they delivered it, and they told me what to do next. I heard the delivery as the end. The next part is distribution, and that part only ever gets run by me.

A moment expires. An asset compounds.

One day of filming

Six things came out of that room.

I thought I got an episode. I got six assets, and I used one of them for months before I looked at the rest. We are going to go through where I would put every one of them.

A long form video 20 to 40 clips A full transcript Stills and behind the scenes A third party credential A story with an ending

What one shoot actually produces

One day of filming. Months of material.

The credential is the one nobody counts. Somebody else vouching for you in public is the only kind of trust you cannot manufacture on your own website.

2%

Is what I used in my first month.

One post on the day it dropped, and that was the whole plan. My own number, not a statistic. The other ninety eight percent was sitting right there the entire time.

Where I would put it

I would put it in five places.

You have the playbook. This is how I run it, and one thing you can do in each of the five before you fly home.

One · Your website

Own the page. Do not rent the logo.

A logo in the footer is a mention. A page is proof. Your site is the only thing in this list you own outright. Everything else is rented, and rented can be taken away. Give the episode a real page and let it do the trust work before anybody speaks to you.

This week: build the page. Not a mention. A page.

Two · Google and AI

The machines that recommend businesses are reading.

When somebody looks you up, the episode should be what they find. And when somebody asks ChatGPT or Google for the best in your field, those tools read pages to answer. They cannot read a video. Write the story out in plain words on a page you own, and you have given them something to find.

This week: put the episode in words, not just a player.

Something already answers when they ask. Give it your answer.

Three · Social

Not a post. A drip.

Forty clips is forty posts. One a week is most of a year of showing up without filming anything new. Different cut for each platform, and the behind the scenes does better than the polished take almost every time.

This week: cut three clips and schedule one a week.

Four · Blogs and long form

The transcript is a content engine.

You already said the smart things out loud. Every topic you covered on camera is a written page you own. Written pages are what rank, and written pages are what AI quotes back to people. The video cannot do that job by itself.

This week: pick the three best answers. One page each.

Five · Podcasts and the next stage

An episode is a booking credential.

Hosts and organisers book people who have already done it, because the risk of a bad guest is the thing they are actually managing. You are not asking anybody to take a chance on you any more. Use this one to get the next one.

This week: send it to five hosts. Two lines, nothing else.

Now the part you actually came for

Send it before the call. Not after.

Why that one change works

Trust is the slowest part of any deal.

Somebody else vouching for you does in a few minutes what you cannot do in three calls, because you saying you are good is a claim and somebody else saying it is evidence.

You stop being one of three quotes.

It changes who you get compared to. Sometimes it removes the comparison altogether, and that is the whole ball game on price.

Where to put it

Everywhere a decision gets made.

It answers the price question before anybody asks it, and you never have to be the one who brings it up. That is worth more than any line you could write.

Assets stack.

Every credential makes the next one easier to get, because the people deciding are all looking for the same thing: proof that somebody already said yes.

How it actually went for me

Run two or three at once. On purpose.

Same stretch, all of it moving at once. None of them caused the others and I am not going to pretend they did. But every one made the next conversation easier, and that compounding is the only part worth copying.

The part nobody puts on a slide

Most of what happens next comes from who you are sitting next to.

Not from a plan you wrote down. That is what a room like this is actually for, and it is the part of this membership I did not see coming. It is also why I flew here instead of sending a deck.

Back to the six we opened with

Those are the same six. Now put them to work.

One shoot. Six pieces. Five places. If all of it says the same thing about you, that is a brand. If it says three different things, you have bought a few moments and built nothing.

A long form video 20 to 40 clips A full transcript Stills and behind the scenes A third party credential A story with an ending

The same six, now working

If you only do one thing this week

Give the episode its own page on the site you own.

Everything else in this talk points back at that page. Do that one and the other four get easier.
